Limebike Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Neutron Holdings, Inc. doing business under the name Lime, formerly LimeBike, is an American transportation company based in San Francisco, USA. It runs electric scooters, electric bikes, normal pedal bikes and car sharing systems in various cities around the world.
A former employee shares his experience on indeed.com, "LimeBike is a horrible company to work for. There it's no human resource department to contact regarding any issue, there is no communication about anything, there is discrimination and favoritism. They will terminate your employment while you're working with no-cause for no reason and tell you that you can just say it's seasonal."
Former Employee - Operations Manager says"Rottent culture of distrust, self interest and absolute lack of ownership and accountability at all levels. Leaders will NEVER support the teams on the ground but blame them when things turn ugly."
Former Employee - Operations Manager says"To narrow it down, I would say leadership in general. I mean this at all levels: executives, central operations, local ops org. There is little to no consideration of what actually makes sense to do, merely what is expedient. Tools needed to accurately track metrics for your market are either at MVP or locked down so you can't get information you need to do your job. They also will not spring for enterprise licenses for any external tools, so they'll ask people to share credentials. There is no transparency whatsoever, so you'll constantly wonder what the strategy is or what's coming down the pipeline. Personally, I was led to believe this would be an analytical role focusing on process improvement and business strategy, only to find out after starting that it's a warehouse manager role requiring you to be plugged in 24/7. I received calls from my team as late as 2am on a regular basis, even on weekends, and had more than a few times where senior leaders were badgering me on Slack in the wee hours of the morning. The company gives the impression that they believe they are still a scrappy little startup, rather than a leader in their industry with nearly $1 billion in funding. The org structure is vague and it's hard to know who to go to with issues and concerns (not that anyone would be likely to help if you asked). It's a big red flag to me if you can't trust anything coming from leadership, particularly when so much of the compensation is tied to the success of the company through stock options rather than being paid a fair market wage. Also, tools and parts are difficult to come by, so you're often expected to use what little money they pay you to come out of pocket for expenses (spent $2000 my first week on tools). In short, the job gives you the responsibility of multiple roles, the resources for none, and the trust level of a temp."

Operations Specialist (Former Employee) says"This job has such a high turn over rate that if bosses know there going to fire you they ignore you like you dont exist. They pay the least out of any dockless scooter company in Maryland and expect you to collect more bikes just because they have more bikes. My competition did less work and earn 5 more dollars an hour than me. I asked for more training after a month becaise I couldn’t meet the quota of 35 bikes and they fired me. And i was threatened on the job and nothing was done. This is a dangerous and stupid place to work and you will regret ot.NoneEverything and i meant EVERYTHING"

Operations specialist/Driver/Shift lead (Former Employee) says"There's no loyalty for the work that you do. Management is nonexistent and only care about numbers. It's a fly by night company. They have no set foundation for which way things should be. And they very rarely oversee field work."
Mechanic Technician (Former Employee) says"Lime dc management is terrible they show favoritism and the pay suck a 300$ or 400$ check no benefits unless you come in when they are starting and then the benefits plans are high you are better off getting your own everyone comes to work high and The Spanish people try to get you fired they all are in cahoots with the manger just go to lyft or uber scooter if you want a good job with good pay andthe heat or air does not work in the warehouse people steal"
Lead Electrical Mechanic (Former Employee) says"they tell you what you want to hear and never follow though with it. promise you and you teem there's room to grow then never give any one a chance to."
Warehouse Manager/ Lead mechanic (Former Employee) says"They will use and abuse every skill you have, then fire you for personal reasons regardless of skill or time with the company. They portray they offer career advancement opportunities but that's another lie I was a "warehouse manager" but still a sub contracted employee they promised me for months a full time position then some guy from.corporate comes in and fires half the team for absolutely new reason"
Ops driver (Former Employee) says"Manager and his sidekick talks behind your back as if no one knows. Exspectaions are high because of other states have multiple law suits and it is trying very hard to make it work in a smaller state. Protest this company. Fake loyalty and workers. Don’t waste your time on this cramp!!!! You have been warned!!!!!!NoneNone"
Ops (Former Employee) says"The most unprofessional place I have ever worked. The management is completely disorganized an they are never actually onsite to help with any questions or concerns"
Field Service Technician (Former Employee) says"Horrible management,, unprofessional child like man boys running it, no direction, no compensation, no job security at all, the main manager got his position because of an even harder workewho single handedly built up the Charlotte down town area and made him handle all of his workIf you like the outsideWork hard for nothing, no lunches, no breaks, management none existence"
Operations Specialist (Current Employee) says"You rely on an app to do your daily job which never works but you are held responsible even if it doesn't. Manager is Prejudice and unable to receive feedback in order to help limebike be successful. Has minorities doing the bulk of the labor while non-minorities sit in the office and go to events. Life is constantly in danger due to retrieving bikes and scooters in high-crime areas. Constant spiders on bikes and scooters. Manager is scared to stand up to headquarters because it is all about the money. Not about safety. Constant talking behind people's back by management not coworkers. Manager constantly keeps trouble started in the workplace by talking about people and not thinking that it will get back to them. Which creates a bad work environmentNoneEverything"
Operation (Current Employee) says"The worst company to work for owned by Uber there is no structure the management doesn’t care for staff pay issues and more are the reasons not to work for this company"
Operations Specialist (Former Employee) says"The management is lacking experience and training in San Diego. Applied for a part-time job. During the interview I told the operations manger that I was only looking for a part-time job, he said it was fine and offered me the job. Went through a background check and passed. Completeled other paperwork that related to timecards and benefits. It took about a week to go through the process. When I completeled everything I contacted the manager to let him know I was ready to start. His response was he did not need part-time employees. It was a waste of my time and the company’s money since they paid for the background check.N/aManagement lacks experience and training"
Operations (Former Employee) says"Terrible pay and management there is no communication and they will let you go without notice For any little reason Then Tell you anything Don’t trust them"
Operations Lead (Former Employee) says"I am not one to speak negatively of any person or company, but my experience with this company over the last 15 months has been unfavorable. The blatan disregard for information and insight from local teams along with a lack of company policy makes it very difficult to manage a local market efficiently and effectively; not to mention there's no paid time off. They decreased hours to the point that all I could do was maintain, with the promise of full time hours that nevehappened"
Team Leader/Supervisor (Current Employee) says"They hire and fire without notice; they don't take peoples lives in to consideration. Management doesn't effectively communicate with their employees. I'm one of the last few people that first started off working for the company. I've witnessed at least 200+ people come and go in the span of 1 year. There is no security and the only reason I've survived this long is because I let my work speak for its self, I keep my head low, and seniority has helped too. I'm one of the lucky few that had to be promoted to Lead, I started off as driver. Long story short, Tread lightly with lime, and good luck."
Operation specialist 1 (Former Employee) says"This company is extremely unorganized and unprofessional. The senior management lacks understanding of how the company actually operates in the field and solely relies on computer-based algorithms for their field data and not the employees working in the field. They believe this so much there is soon as you start to even bring up actual facts of the field and how it can be improved and how the data from the algorithms may be wrong they jump on your case and instantly tell you that the data is not wrong and it is 100% correct"
Mechanic and electical troubleshooting (Current Employee) says"I was initially excited and happy to work here. The culture and work experience was cordial, collaborative and friendly. But over the months, the management changed, and conscientious and and company spirited were replaced with management that seemed more interested in disrespecting the employees, and driving them for more productivity and not showing them respect. Management neglected the responsibility to even puppy the parts necessary to repair the scooters. Instructions and demands from the management were confusing, and often contradictory. Long term skilled workers were let go (often for any excuse, or "violation) and replaced with lower paid new workers, who often did not last long. The warehouse manager did not know how to fix scooters, but would verbally deride others for being inept, (particularly signing out me because of my age) and would talk behind peoples back about others and spread rumors about their work quality - trying to set people against one another, creating a hostile and suspicious workplace."
Operations leader (Former Employee) says"Limebike never pay on time the salary, sometimes they pay the salary 2 moths late, also the pay always wrong the salary!!! In resumem is a desater company!!!"
Operations Specialist (Former Employee) says"Unfortunately my time with this company lasted over two years. I was promised benefits, advancement opportunities and expanded locations. All of which were completely false and never going to happen. This company takes complete advantage of their employees and I’m only writing this to encourage people to not apply for a job with Lime. I got another job and have been 100% happier ever since. Don’t believe a word they tell you, it’s all a lie. Dead end job, not worth it!NoneJust about everything"
Operator (Former Employee) says"There are no words to explain it. Just don’t work here. Maybe the pay is alright, but that’s it. No one cares about the hourly workers, there’s no job security. The crack heads off the streets charging the scooters in their homes have more job security than hourly employees. Like I said. Just don’t work here. I’m saving you the headache.PayMicromanage, no job security, hours cut drastically."
